My name is Stu! I'm a five-year-old miniature tiger. Okay, maybe not a real tiger but I'm a handsome tabby cat, so it's easy to confuse. I was found outside as a tiny kitten with my brother Stanley who has since been adopted. I'm a timid soul that does not do well at my rescue's adoption events or in the PetSmart kitty condos. I may take a little time to warm up, but I'm very loving once I get to know you. Are you that special person who can show me endless kindness and patience? Hello, my name is Polly! I'm a polydactyl kitty, which means I was born with extra toes on my feet like the Hemingway kitties. I think it just makes me EXRTA special. I've been with A Tail To Be Told Animal Rescue since the fall of 2016 when I was rescued as a kitten. My mom and three siblings who were rescued along with me have been adopted, but I'm still here waiting for my forever home. While I may be bashful, once I get to know you are kind and loving, I warm up to be an excellent addition to a quiet home with adult children. I also can't get enough treats! My favorite games to play are batting the mouse with my paws and chasing that silly red light (aka laser pointer).

You won't see me at any of the adoption events or PetSmart Kitty Condos since I'm quite timid, and those environments stress me out, but I'm still looking for my forever home. Could that be you? 

Mr. Anderson

Male

Mr. Anderson was left behind when his family moved. He didn't know how to be an outside cat, so he was attacked continuously by the feral cats in the community. Per a veterinarian's assessment, it appears that a dog or a larger animal got ahold of Mr. Anderson. He has recovered from his ordeal. He is a very happy but very laid back boy. He loves to play and visit with the other cats at the rescue.

Fancy was pulled from a high kill shelter in October 2017 as a kitten on his last day. He has been here at the rescue with his sister Rusty since that time. Fancy and his sister would do best in a quiet home with adults and older children. They would love to be adopted together but not absolutely necessary.

My name is Jade. I'm sweeter than honey but shy as can be. The rescue found me when I was a kitten in a feral colony. Now I'm looking to settle down with a family of my own. I spend my days doing my favorite pastime, running on the exercise wheel, and playing catch the laser.

Tony is an extremely affectionate little boy. He loves to cuddle and will roll over for belly scratches. He has two sisters here also, Joyce and Shirley.

Garfield & Daniel

We are approximately 2 years old and brothers. Their owner passed away last fall so now they find themselves looking for a new family. They were scared at first but have warmed up to all the volunteers here. They are very laid back kitties, but love to play with a laser and other toys. As you can see they are very good at lounging around on cat towers. They like to lay watching the going ons outside.

Ollie

Everyone meet Ollie! This handsome boy is a 6 yr old DMH & an absolute sweetie pie! Ollie is looking for a place that he can finally call his forever home. His previous owner didn’t have time to ‘deal with him’

You see, Ollie is differently-abled as he has Cerebellar Hypoplasia aka: wobbly cat. It’s not contagious, it’s not a disease & it’s not fatal. It simply makes Ollie off balance & a bit clumsy. However an experienced CH owner is best for him. He’s litter box trained, very laid back, loves to be with people & will likely follow you all over the house. So no bathroom privacy with him around =}

He loves to be brushed & eating is probably his favorite pastime. LOVES fresh baked chicken!

Ollie has been fostered with a large dog & his foster family would be more than happy to provide more details & info about him if you’re interested. The foster family would love to be able to keep in touch & have visitation rights with Ollie, you know, in case his new family ever needs a sitter on vacations .... lol

Casey is a very timid girl around 3 years old. Her owner passed away last fall. She was an outdoor kitty the lady rescued. She has been an inside cat for about a year now. She has absolutely no desire to be back outside. She has had numerous litters of kittens. She loves other cats. Casey would do best in a quiet home with older children.

Mary is a sweet and beautiful little girl. Her owner passed away last Fall. She is a bit shy but will come around nicely in a quiet home with adult children. Loves to be social with other cats. The home she was in had a bunch of extremely well cared for cats.
